PostHeaderIcon blueray vs dvd upconverter on a 720p tv?

i have a sony 720p tv and a denon 1930ci dvd upconverter that has the faradouja dcdi chip, my question is that if i upgrade my player to a blueray or hddvd, since my tv is not 1080p, am i going to see any improvement in the picture quality and if so is it going to be a huge one ? thank you for ur help.

    Yes, you should see improvements; but , the quantity of improvement depends on the DVD show as well (some are authored surpass than others).
    Pictures in DVD are about 704×420. Even the best upconverter has to estimate what those missing pixels are.

    Reckon of it this way. If you have digital cable or satellite, do SD programs look the same as HD? In this case, your TV does the upconversion and I am sure you can see the difference.

    HD movies (in 1080p) are 1920×1080. It is always surpass to scale down than up!
