PostHeaderIcon Logitech z5500 or Onkyo ht-sr600, or other?

I play ps3 games and blueray movies.
My budget is 0.00
I like sharp crystal clear sounds.
I can get both for exact same price.. has anyone heard both and can comment on the sound quality?

Which has a surpass bass that wont hurt your ears?

Only thing I care about is sound quality for ps3 games and movies. Connections and flexibility of them dont interest me too much.

Both have pretty excellent reviews re sound, so your scale should probably be based on what features are vital to you.

As far as computer speakers are worried the Z5500 is considered the best 5.1 system and has honestly excellent flexibility re connections. An HTIB like the Onkyo HT-SR600 isn’t going to be the equal of more expensive systems but reviews from owners are very positive re value for money (a general feature of Onkyo components).

Personally I would consider the extra input/output options on the Onkyo a plus, but if you want the majority of your $$ to go into the speakers and don’t need the extra flexibility of a HT receiver, the Logitech is a excellent sounding system.
